Dix Six – Last Five Defendents GUILTY AS CHARGED

The remaining Dix Six terrorists have been convicted of planning to kill US Soldiers at Fort Dix, NJ. To bad they could not get the attempted murdre charge to stick… but I guess that is a technicality and at least they are convicted of planning to kill soldiers and they will stay in jail…

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) – Five Muslim immigrants were convicted Monday of plotting to massacre U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix in a case that tested the FBI’s post-Sept. 11 strategy of infiltrating and breaking up terrorist conspiracies in their earliest stages.The men could get life in prison when they are sentenced in April.  The five, who lived in and around Philadelphia for years, were found guilty of conspiring to kill U.S. military personnel. But they were acquitted of attempted murder, after prosecutors acknowledged the men were probably months away from an attack and did not necessarily have a specific plan. Four defendants were also convicted of weapons charges. The federal jury deliberated for 38 hours over six days. The government said after the arrests in 2007 that case underscored the dangers of terrorist plots hatched on U.S. soil. Although investigators said the conspirators were inspired by Osama bin Laden, they were not accused of any ties to foreign terror groups. Defense lawyers argued that the alleged plot was all talk—that the men weren’t seriously planning anything and that they were manipulated and goaded by two paid FBI informants. Faten Shnewer, the mother of defendant Mohamad Shnewer, said the informants should be the ones in jail. “Not my son and his friends. It’s not right, it’s not justice,” she said after the verdict. The government “sent somebody to push him to say something; that’s it.” Convicted were: Shnewer, a Jordanian-born cab driver; Turkish-born convenience store clerk Serdar Tatar; and brothers Dritan, Eljvir and Shain Duka, ethnic Albanians from the former Yugoslavia, who had a roofing business. A sixth man arrested and charged only with gun offenses pleaded guilty earlier. “These criminals had the capacity and had done preparations to do serious and grievous harm to members of our military,” Ralph Marra, the acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey, said after the verdict. But some Muslim leaders in New Jersey disputed that. “I don’t think they actually mean to do anything,” said Mohamed Younes, president of the American Muslim Union. “I think they were acting stupid, like they thought the whole thing was a joke.” Jim Sues, executive director of the New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said: “Many people in the Muslim community will see this as a case of entrapment. From what I saw, there was a significant role played by the government informant.” The yearlong investigation began after a clerk at a Circuit City store told the FBI that some customers had asked him to transfer onto DVD some video footage of them firing assault weapons and screaming about jihad. The FBI asked two informants—both foreign-born men who entered the U.S. illegally and had criminal records—to befriend the suspects. Both informants were paid and were offered help obtaining legal resident status. During the eight-week trial, the government relied heavily on information gathered by the informants, who secretly recorded hundreds of conversations. Prosecutors said the men bought several assault rifles supplied by the FBI and that they trekked to Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains to practice their shooting. The government also presented dozens of jihadist speeches and videos that the men supposedly used as inspiration. According to prosecutors, the group chose the Army post because one of the defendants was familiar with it. His father’s pizza shop delivered to the New Jersey base, which is 25 miles from Philadelphia and used primarily to train reservists for duty in Iraq. The group’s objective was to kill “as many American soldiers as possible,” prosecutors said. But the men’s lawyers attacked the credibility of the informants and accused them of instigating the plot. After the verdict, Schnewer’s attorney, Rocco Cipparone, said there would not have been a conspiracy without the involvement of the informants. “I believe they shaped the evidence,” he said. Prosecutor William Fitzpatrick defended the government’s handling of the case, telling the jury: “The FBI investigates crime on the front end. They don’t want to have to do it on the back end.” Members of the jury would not speak to reporters after the verdict and instead released a statement that said, in part, “This has been one of the most difficult things that we have ever had to do.” None of the defendants testified. The government said after the men’s arrest that an attack was imminent, though prosecutors backed off that assertion at the trial. The government has had a mixed record on terrorism prosecutions since Sept. 11. It won guilty pleas from Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui; Richard Reid, who tried to blow up a trans-Atlantic jetliner with a shoe bomb; and the Lackawanna Six, a terrorist cell outside Buffalo, N.Y. And it convicted Jose Padilla of plotting terrorist attacks. But a case against four men in Michigan fell apart after a federal prosecutor was accused of withholding evidence. And a case in Miami against seven men accused of plotting to blow up Chicago’s Sears Tower has produced one acquittal and two mistrials.

Bin Laden – Bringing Change To America

Jawa reports that an ex Al Qaeda operative has warned of an imminent attack on the US.  Funny how Bin Laden believes in Change too…

The Age Osama bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will “outdo by far” September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organisation has entered a “positive phase”, reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next “wave of action” against the West.

The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi — and widely reported in the major Italian papers — quotes a person described as being “very close to al-Qaeda” in Yemen.

The paper is edited by Abdel al-Bari Atwan, who is said to be the last journalist to interview Osama bin Laden in 1996. According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to “change the face of world politics and economics”. The operative is quoted as saying that “this will be shown by the fact that we now control a major part of the south of Somalia”.

The ex-operative says he remains in contact with current chiefs of the organisation in Yemen and that only six months ago bin Laden had sent a message to all jihad cells in the Arab world which asked them not to interact with their governments or local political parties and to deny any request for mediation or formal talks.

The source also said that during the next few days the terrorist organisation may send a sign of its violent intentions.

 

A few things in the statement that make sense 1) the importance of Somalia and ergo, Yemen (money, fighters, weapons) 2) the end of negotiations between the Yemeni government and the terrorists (“the period of calmness”) came as a result of an order from bin Laden, not because of agitation from returnees from Iraq, 3) the continuing importance of the original trusted network of Yemenis to the Al-Qaeda eadership..

A “senior” leader would refer to one with connections dating back to the Afghan days. My first guess would be Abu al-Fida, he’s just a very chatty guy, loves to give interviews and was most definitely top echelon. There’s photos of him sitting with UBL. Al-Fida was a prime negotiator between the regime and al-Qaeda and described the truce period that started in 2003 as centrally ordered by bin Laden.

Al-Fida was also the one who reported the line of sucession in al-Qaeda would pass to bin Laden’s son, so he has previously made officially sanctioned statements on behalf of the terror leadership. For prior reporting on al-Fida, click here.

Odinga Made A Deal with Kenyan Muslims to Institute Islamic Law; Obama Campaigned for Him

Now that Obama has acknowledged having had Kenyan citizenship, it’s time to take another serious look at his recent campaign activities on behalf of Kenyan presidential candidate Raila Odinga, a Muslim sympathizer and leader of the socialist Orange Democratic Movement.

We review the Obama-Odinga campaign collaboration with this central question in mind: As a former Kenyan citizen, does Obama’s open involvement in Kenyan presidential politics raise troubling questions about his loyalties?Apparently Obama traveled to Kenya on official business as a US Senator; the trip was funded by US taxpayers. Odinga’s policy positions were against stated US interests.

Odinga, running on the slogan “Agent of Change,” lost the race for President of Kenya in December 2007 and thereafter led a campaign of widespread ethnic warfare in protest of his loss.

In August 2007, Odinga had signed an agreement with Islamic extremists toinstitute Islamic Law should he be elected President of Kenya, and he vowed to end cooperation with the United States in the war against terror. WHY did OBAMA actively campaign for him?

This central question is now being litigated by Philip J. Berg.  Whether or not Berg’s case prevails on the procedural issues of standing and jurisdiction — the issue of dual citizenship must eventually be reviewed by the federal courts.In the event that Obama gets elected, I predict that this legal problem will ultimately end his presidency. What a shame that he’s been so secretive and deceptive about his past. Mr. Odinga had the backing of Kenya’s Muslim community heading into the election. For months he denied any ties to Muslim leaders, but fell silent when Sheik Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum, appeared on Kenya television displaying a memorandum of understanding signed on Aug. 29, 2007, by Mr. Odinga and the Muslim leader. Mr. Odinga then denied his denials.

The details of the MOU [Memorandum of Understanding] were shocking. In return for Muslim backing, Mr. Odinga promised to impose a number of measures favored by Muslims if he were elected president. Among these were recognition of “Islam as the only true religion,” Islamic leaders would have an “oversight role to monitor activities of ALL other religions [emphasis in original],” installation of Shariah courts in every jurisdiction, a ban on Christian preaching, replacement of the police commissioner who “allowed himself to be used by heathens and Zionists,” adoption of a women’s dress code, and bans on alcohol and pork.

Obama’s Muslim Outreach Coordinate Meets With Muslim Radicals

Now Obama’s new coordinator, Minha Husaini, has meet with radical Muslims. These are people that advocate terrorism, censorship, support Hamas, Hezbollah…

Barack Obama’s newly appointed Muslim outreach adviser is coming under fire for meeting with Islamic groups with extremist views, just two months after her predecessor resigned over links to a radical cleric.

Minha Husaini met with members of several Islamic organizations in Virginia on September 15 — including some that terrorism experts say have ties to Hamas and the radical Muslim Brotherhood.

Among the attendees were senior members of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which was listed by federal prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror-related trial.

Several people connected to CAIR have been convicted of felonies — including on terrorism-related charges.

CAIR bills itself as the nation’s largest Muslim civil-rights advocacy group. As recently as last year, it advised the Transportation Security Administration on sensitivity training regarding Muslim air travelers. Nihad Awad, a CAIR co-founder and executive director, met with President Bush in the aftermath of 9/11. 

But critics say CAIR has a long history of masquerading as a moderate Islamic group. 

“These groups, even if they themselves are not active terrorist organizations, do subscribe to large amounts of the ideology that fuels the terrorism that we are being confronted with,” said Andrew McCarthy, former Assistant U.S. Attorney.

CAIR did not return repeated calls for comment.

Awad, who was at the September meeting with Husaini, recently attended a dinner with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Also present at the Sept. 15 meeting was Mahdi Bray, who has publicly announced his support for the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah. Bray, the executive director of the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation, raised his fist in the air during a rally in Washington in October 2000 to demonstrate his support for the terror groups.

Bray refused to comment on the recent gathering. “It was a closed meeting,” he told FOX News.

Johari Abdul Malik, imam of the Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque in Falls Church, Va., also participated in the meeting. During a conference in Chicago in 2001, he told attendees, “You can blow up bridges, but you cannot kill people who are innocent on their way to work.” In November 2004 he told followers, “You will see Islam move from being the second largest religion in America — to being the first religion in America.”

Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt said the campaign would not have sent a representative to the meeting had it known the list of participants.

“This meeting was not organized by the campaign — our outreach staff attends many meetings in the course of each day and they accepted an invitation from community leaders to attend,” LaBolt told FOX News in a written statement.

The Obama campaign’s previous Muslim outreach advisor, Mazen Asbahi — who stepped down in August following reports he was linked to a radical imam — also attended the meeting.

In a brief telephone conversation, Asbahi refused to discuss why he was at the meeting or whom he was representing.

According to LaBolt, “[Asbahi] is not an employee of the campaign and does not speak on behalf of the campaign.”

Pakistan’s President Zardari Gets Fatwa Over Gorgeous Sarah

Ha… Muslims issue Fatwa over Asif Ali Zardari remarks about Palin at his meeting with her…

LAHORE, PAKISTAN – After the flirtation came the fatwa.

With some overly friendly comments to Gov. Sarah Palin at the United Nations, Asif Ali Zardari has succeeded in uniting one of Pakistan’s hard-line mosques and its feminists after a few weeks in office.

A radical Muslim prayer leader said the president shamed the nation for “indecent gestures, filthy remarks, and repeated praise of a non-Muslim lady wearing a short skirt.”

Feminists charged that once again a male Pakistani leader has embarrassed the country with sexist remarks. And across the board, the Pakistani press has shown disapproval.

What did President Zardari do to draw such scorn? It might have been the “gorgeous” compliment he gave Ms. Palin when the two met at the UN last week during her meet-and-greet with foreign leaders ahead of Thursday’s vice presidential debate with opponent Sen. Joe Biden, the Democratic vice presidential nominee.

But the comments from Zardari didn’t end there. He went on to tell Palin: “Now I know why the whole of America is crazy about you.”

“You are so nice,” replied the Republican vice presidential hopeful, smiling. “Thank you.”

But what may have really caused Pakistan’s radical religious leaders to stew was his comment that he might “hug” Palin if his handler insisted.

Though the fatwa, issued days after the Sept. 24 exchange, carries little weight among most Pakistanis, it’s indicative of the anger felt by Pakistan’s increasingly assertive conservatives who consider physical contact and flattery between a man and woman who aren’t married to each other distasteful. Though fatwas, or religious edicts, can range from advice on daily life to death sentences, this one does not call for any action or violence.

Last year, the mosque that issued the fatwa, Lal Masjid (Red Mosque) in Islamabad, condemned the former tourism minister, Nilofar Bahktiar, after she was photographed being hugged by a male parachuting coach in France.

Clerics declared the act a “great sin” and, though less vocal about it, similar sentiments were shared by many among Pakistani’s middle classes. The Red Mosque gained international infamy in July 2007 after becoming the focal point of a Pakistan Army operation.

For the feminists it’s less about cozying up to a non-Muslim woman and more about the sexist remarks by Zardari.

“As a Pakistani and as a woman, it was shameful and unacceptable. He was looking upon her merely as a woman and not as a politician in her own right,” says Tahira Abdullah, a member of the Women’s Action Forum.

Dismissing the mosque’s concerns as “ranting,” she, however, adds: “He should show some decorum – if he loved his wife so much as to press for a United Nations investigation into her death, he should behave like a mourning widower,” in reference to former Pakistani premier Benazir Bhutto, a feminist icon for millions of Pakistani women.

The theme of decorum was picked up by English daily Dawn, whose editorial asked: “Why do our presidents always end up embarrassing us internationally by making sexist remarks?”

The incident bears some resemblance to yet another charm offensive by a senior Pakistani politician. Marcus Mabry’s biography of Condoleezza Rice includes a passage in which he relates a meeting between former Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Ms. Rice, in which Mr. Aziz was said to have stared deeply into the secretary of State’s eyes and to have told her he could “conquer any woman in two minutes.”

There are some, however, who see things as having been blown out of proportion.

“It was a sweet and innocuous exchange played as an international incident on Pakistani and rascally Indian front-pages with one English daily [writing] it in a scarlet box, half-implying Mrs. Palin would ditch Alaska’s First Dude and become Pakistan’s First Babe. As if,” wrote columnist Fasih Ahmed in the Daily Times.

For most, it will soon be forgotten in a country dealing with terrorism, rising food prices, and a struggling economy. “We don’t care that much how they [politicians] behave – what really matters is keeping prices down,” says Nazeera Bibi, a maid in Lahore.

Islamification Of Tesco

This asshat worked 8 months at Tesco, doing what he is now suing for… He had to move cases of liquor. Wow. Well he should have thought of that before accepting the job. 

I would venture to say that he has no objection to the liquor, but he has an objection to working and making a living…

As far as I know, Islam does not have any laws against handling alcohol, only consuming it…

A Muslim said he is suing Tesco for religious discrimination because he was asked to handle crates of alcohol in a warehouse.

Mohammed Ahmed, 32, was employed at the supermarket giant’s Lichfield depot in September last year for a job that included transporting various goods on fork-lift trucks.

The Saudi Arabia national told a tribunal he had not been told when he started the job that he would be handling alcoholic drinks – a task he said was against his Islamic beliefs.

The situation came to a head in the run-up to Christmas last year, when more alcohol was ferried to the warehouse in preparation for the festive season.

Mr Ahmed, who moved to Derby in 2006, complained to Tesco in February, but claims he was treated unfairly as a result. After eight months working for the company, he left in protest.

The decision on his legal action, after a three-day employment tribunal held in Birmingham, is expected next week.

He said: “It’s in our religion that we are not allowed to handle alcohol. In the UK there’s equal opportunities that should protect me and my beliefs.

“I was asking for my rights. I am not saying I am a perfect person but there was a conflict with my beliefs.”

Tesco claimed Mr Ahmed was made aware at his induction that he would be handling alcohol, and that every effort was made to find him an alternative role in the warehouse. But the claimant, of Upper Dale Road, Normanton, claims he was victimised by managers because of his stance.

A Tesco spokesman said: “Cases like this are very rare as managers are trained to be culturally sensitive and have an ‘open door policy’ to staff for issues like this as everyone is welcome to work at Tesco.”

But then again, it is just more of the same trend, force us to follow their rules when they come to our country… Pretty soon England will no longer be England, but another Muslim Nation…

MUSLIM supermarket checkout staff who refuse to sell alcohol are being allowed to opt out of handling customers’ bottles and cans of drink.

Islamic workers at Sainsbury’s who object to alcohol on religious grounds are told to raise their hands when encountering any drink at their till so that a colleague can temporarily take their place or scan items for them.

Other staff have refused to work stacking shelves with wine, beer and spirits and have been found alternative roles in the company.

Sainsbury’s said this weekend it was keen to accommodate the religious beliefs of all staff but some Islamic scholars condemned the practice, saying Muslims who refused to sell alcohol were reneging on their agreements with the store.

Islam states that Muslims should not consume alcohol, but opinion is divided on whether it is permissible to be involved in the sale of it.

Mustapha, a Muslim checkout worker at the company’s store in Swiss Cottage, northwest London, interrupts his work to ensure that he does not have to sell or handle alcohol.

Each time a bottle or can of alcohol comes along the conveyor belt in front of him, Mustapha either swaps places discreetly with a neighbouring attendant or raises his hand so that another member of staff can come over and pass the offending items in front of the scanner before he resumes work.

Some of the staff delegated to handle the drink for Mustapha are themselves obviously Muslim, including women in hijab head coverings. However, a staff member at the store told a reporter that two other employees had asked to be given alternative duties after objecting to stacking drinks shelves.

Mustapha told one customer: “I can’t sell the alcohol because of my religion. It is Ramadan at the moment.”

His customers did not appear to have any objection to his polite refusal to work with alcohol. One said: “I have no issues with it at all, it really doesn’t bother me.”

However, some senior Muslims were less approving.

Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, director of the Muslim Institute and leader of the Muslim parliament, said: “This is some kind of overenthusiasm. One expects professional behaviour from people working in a professional capacity and this shows a lack of maturity.

“Sainsbury’s is being very good, they are trying to accommodate the wishes of their employees and we commend that. The fault lies with the employee who is exploiting and misusing their goodwill. It makes no difference if it is only happening over Ramadan.”

Ibrahim Mogra, chairman of the inter-faith committee of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), said: “Muslim employees should look at the allowances within Muslim law to enable them to be better operating employees and not be seen as rather difficult to cater for.”

A spokeswoman for Sainsbury’s, confirming Mustapha’s stance, said: “At the application stage we ask the relevant questions regarding any issues about handling different products and where we can we will try and accommodate any requirements people have, but it depends on the needs of the particular store.”

There is a difference between accommodating the reasonable needs and expectations of a group and culture to make them feel reasonably content and justified in their working environment; however this is unreasonable compromise for these hardcore-muslims. madness indeed.

Once again Sainsbury”s are putting their staffs wacky ideas before their customers. If these zealots do not like the idea of alcohol WHY did they take the job in the first place???. They must have signed a contract of employment, it should be enforced.

One Of Dix Six Plotted To Attack The Other Major Targets

Mohamad Shnewer is not being charged with planning to attack the White House, Capital Building., FBI HQ and CIA HQ, however evidence that he was planning to is being considered as evidence in his case.

Sorry, but the prosecutor needs to level these as charges as well, I would venture to say that he also discussed these plans with the other 4 still awaiting trial, more investigation needs to go into this by the prosecutor and they should be charged as well.

Prosecutors are trying to get taped conversations with the informant, Mohmoud Omar, admitted into evidence, however the defence is claiming that it has nothing to do with the case and would be prejudicial against his client. Let’s see, he is already charged with planning to attack Fort Dix and attempted murder, how could recordings of him planning to attack major assets not be relevant? And any evidence against his client is obviously prejudicial as it against him. To claim that it makes it more personal to the jury, that is not relevant, as that is what a good case does, for either the defense or jury. Additionally if he was planning to attack these targets, then it is all the more reason to bring it up in his trial.

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — One of the five men awaiting trial on charges alleging they plotted an armed attack on soldiers training at Fort Dix discussed other targets including the White House and Capitol, prosecutors claim in court filings.

The allegations, contained in a motion filed Friday in U.S. District Court, stem from wiretapped conversations between defendant Mohamad Shnewer and Mahmoud Omar, an FBI informant.

According to prosecutors, Shnewer spoke on Aug. 11, 2006, of targeting FBI and CIA headquarters as well as the Army training base. They also said another defendant attempted to buy an AK-47 automatic weapon in 2005.

Prosecutors want the information admitted as evidence of criminal intent in the upcoming trial. Jury selection is set to begin on Sept. 29.

Attorney Rocco Cipparone, who represents Shnewer, said the wiretap evidence was not relevant to the case and could be prejudicial to his client, and he said he was considering whether to object to some or all of the prosecution’s motion.

“I don’t think it should be admitted,” Cipparone said Saturday. “It personalizes it more to jurors, so it can have an unfair prejudicial impact. Whether or not it’s admissible, it doesn’t change the theory of the defense.”

Defense attorneys are expected to attack the credibility of Omar and another FBI informant and may claim that their clients were entrapped.

The five men — Shnewer, Serdar Tatar and brothers Dritan, Eljvir and Shain Duka — were arrested in May 2007 and accused of plotting to sneak onto Fort Dix to attack soldiers.

A sixth suspect, Agron Abdullahu, pleaded guilty last year to providing weapons to the group and was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

All six men are foreign-born Muslims in their 20s who have spent much of their lives in Philadelphia or its southern New Jersey suburbs. They face charges including attempted murder, conspiracy and weapons offenses and could be sentenced to life in prison of they are convicted on all counts.

Anti-Iran Rally Turns Pro-Palin

The anti-Iran rally went on without Sarah Palin, unfortunately it was a disaster in numbers, with only about 2,000 people showing up. Maybe if they had let Sarah attend she could have brought in a crowd like she did in Florida, 60,000…

The rally ended up with overtones of of being Pro-Palin and anti Democrat, which upset the higher ups. Too bad. They are pissed because it became a political rally… First of all, what do they think the rally was in the first place. It was political against Iran. Second of all, it would not have turned into a partisan political issue had they let Sarah attend and had Hillary not blown her cool acting like a 5 year old by cancelling her appearance in the first place. Or maybe if Joe Biden or or Barack Obama had decided to attend, then maybe just maybe this would have been a nice UNITED front to show the terrorist from Iran.

I hope the Jewish voters pay attention to this and really think hard before throwing their vote behind Obama.

Jewish Groups Furious That Protest Against Ahmadinejad Was, At Times, A Pro-Palin, Bash-The-Dems Affair

Politics and diplomacy were not a good mix at Monday’s protest rally against Iran at the United Nations. 

Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin didn’t participate in the “Stop Iran Now” rally and there were a lot of hard feelings about it. 

It was a simple sign that read “We Want Sarah. Shame On The Rally Organizer.” 

Howard Webber from Brooklyn held it. 

“As important an event as this is, you needed a unity of Democrats and Republicans to show Ahmadinejad that we’re not going to accept a nuclear Iran.” 

Buddy Macy of Little Fells, N.J., felt much the same way. 

“I’m so disappointed, upset,” Macy said. “She would have brought 10,000-20,000 more supporters of Israel. People who were curious were stopped because of partisan action.” 

The brouhaha started after Clinton pulled out after she learned Palin was invited. Three organizations supporting the rally threatened to pull out unless Palin was disinvited. She was but organizers didn’t stop there. 

They were furious Monday about the political signs brought by some at the rally, like an anti-Obama sign that said, “Jews Against Obama & Ahmadinejad.” 

“I am upset by the sign because this is a non-political event,” said Janice Shorenstein, president of the Jewish Community Relations Council. “We are here today to cry out against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, not political. American elections are not part of this event.” 

Congressman Anthony Wiener disagreed. 

“I think this is a classic political event in the best sense of the word. Politicians from all corners come here to speak out against Iran,” Wiener said. “I think it would have been fine for Sarah to speak. We just needed someone of equal stature from the Obama campaign to speak.” 

The question is what are the political repercussions not to have politicians speak at the rally?

“Republicans benefitted more than the Democrats did,” political consultant Hank Sheinkopf said. “Why? Sarah Palin wanted to be there, but it looks like she was purposely told not to and rejected. It gives her standing, particularly among those people who are thinking about voting Republican anyway.”

Both Clinton and Palin tried to make political hay anyway. Clinton released a statement. Palin released the speech she would have given. She will be in New York on Monday and Tuesday to meet with world leaders. Republicans hopes that helps boost her foreign policy credentials.

With the General Assembly now in session, avoid the East Side if you can. There will be the usual traffic troubles all week. 

Streets will be closed at different times, anywhere from the FDR to Madison Avenue, between 42nd and 57th streets.

Obama Needs To Come Clean – Stop Being A Democrat

Well it would appear Barack is still lying to the public. This is a root evil in the liberal base of the Democratic movement. The standard was set by Bill Clinton and followed up by Hillary, John Kerry and now Barack Obama.

I do not care about Obama’s religion, I do care about how it appears he has outright lied to the public on numerous instances.

The FEC needs to investigate whether or not Obama is eligible for Presidency and the Public needs to hear the truth from Obama with verifiable documentation.

He lied about his associations to Rezko… The certificate of live birth is a fake, Barack refuses to release his actual COLB. He has refused to provide a birth certificate. His place of birth is in question. His citizenship to other coutnries is in question and now he has lied about being a Muslim.

The liberal media will have you believe that it was done for convienience, however what convienience was there. Because the word Muslim has less letters than Christianity? Or was it because registering as a Christian was not acceptable or would have put him in danger? (more than a convienience then and would bear a harder look at what this school taught) or was it that he was a Muslim at that point in his life.

Barack Hussein Obama was registered under the name “Barry Soetoro” serial number 203 and entered the Franciscan Asisi Primary School on 1 January 1968 and sat in class 1B.

School documents listed Barry Soetoro as an Indonesian citizen born in Honolulu, Hawaii on 4 August 1961. Barry’s religion was listed as Islam. School documents further record Barry’s father as “L Soetoro Ma” who worked as an official of the Director General’s office in the TNI Topography division of the Indonesian Army.

Barry attended the Franciscan Asisi Primary School for three years until class 3 afterwards his family moved house from H Ramir Street to Dempo Street where he attended Besuki Primary School for one year before departing to Hawaii.

Classmate Rony Amir describes a young Barry Soetoro as enjoying playing football and marbles and of being a very devout Muslim.

“Barry was previously quite religious in Islam. His birth father, Barack Hussein Obama was a Muslim economist from Kenya. Before marrying Ann Dunham, Hussein Obama was married to a woman from Kenya who had seven children. All the relatives of Barry’s father were very devout Muslims”

“We previously often asked him to the prayer room close to the house.” If he was wearing a sarong he looked funny , said Rony Amir, Barry’s classmate when he lived on H Ramli street in Menteng, Jakarta.”

Widely distributed reports have noted in January 1968, Obama was registered as a Muslim at Jakarta’s Roman Catholic Franciscus Assisi Primary School under the name Barry Soetoro. He was listed as an Indonesian citizen whose stepfather, listed on school documents as “L Soetoro Ma,” worked for the topography department of the Indonesian Army.

Catholic schools in Indonesia routinely accept non-Catholic students, but exempt them from studying religion. Obama’s school documents, though, wrongly list him as being Indonesian.

After attending the Assisi Primary School, Obama was enrolled – also as a Muslim, according to documents – in the Besuki Primary School, a public school in Jakarta.

The Loatze blog run by an American expatriate in Southeast Asia who visited the Besuki school, noted, “All Indonesian students are required to study religion at school and a young ‘Barry Soetoro’ being a Muslim would have been required to study Islam daily in school. He would have been taught to read and write Arabic, to recite his prayers properly, to read and recite from the Quran and to study the laws of Islam.”

Indeed, the Israel Insider online magazine points out in Obama’s autobiography, “Dreams From My Father,” he acknowledges studying the Quran and describes the public school as “a Muslim school.”

“In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Quranic studies,” wrote Obama.

The Indonesian media have been flooded with accounts of Obama’s childhood Islamic studies, some describing him as a religious Muslim .

Speaking to the country’s Kaltim Post, Tine Hahiyary, who was principal of Obama’s school while he was enrolled there, said she recalls he studied the Quran in Arabic.

“At that time, I was not Barry’s teacher but he is still in my memory” claimed Tine, who is 80 years old. The Kaltim Post says Obama’s teacher, named Hendri, died.

“I remember that he studied ‘mengaji (recitation of the Quran),” Tine said, according to an English translation by Loatze.
