Live Leak Folds To Muslim Threats And Takes Down Fitna

Due to threats from Muslim Terrorists, Liveleaks has removed Dutch Lawmaker Geert Wilders film Fitna. For your viewing pleasure and a protest against the Islamification of the Internet I have posted the YouTube video below.

The Dutch lawmaker who made a controversial film that criticizes Islam and the Koran, defended his work after protestors in Pakistan and Europe condemned the movie.

The 17-minute movie, posted on the Internet, shows terrorist attacks and quotes lines from the Koran, Islam’s holiest book. Among the quotes from the Koran used in the film are: “When ye meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks” and “Fight them until there is no dissension.”

“The Koran is not an old book somewhere on the shelves that no one is looking at,” the film’s maker, Geert Wilders, told ABC News. “But this is indeed the base of a lot of terrible things happening throughout the world.”

Wilders is the leader of a Dutch anti-immigration party that holds nine seats in the national parliament. He wants the Netherlands to ban all Muslim immigrants and more than that, he wants Muslims to change their ideology, which he likens to Nazism.

“I believe that our culture is far better than the Islamic culture,” Wilders said. When pressed on what he meant by “better,” Wilders replied, “Well, we have a separation of church and state, we treat women equally.”

Friday night, the Web site hosting Wilders’ movie, “Fitna,” an Arabic word that means discord, said said it had decided to take down the film “following serious threats to our staff.”

In the Netherlands and across Europe there is anger. Many Muslims say they feel insulted, but there has been no violence so far.

There have been demonstrations in Pakistan and elsewhere. Anticipating trouble, Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende condemned the movie.

“We believe it serves no purpose other than to cause offence,” Balkenende said.

In 2005 violent protests broke out around the world and more than 100 people were killed after a Danish newspaper printed cartoons portraying the Prophet Mohammed.

“I think his message is even worse than those cartoons,” said Abdou Bouzerda, who heads the Dutch chapter of the Arab European League. “His political message is that Muslims do not belong here.”

For now Dutch Muslim leaders are urging debate and restraint.

Wilders says his film is about freedom of speech and says if it fans the flames of violence, it’s not his fault.

“If it unfortunately would happen, of course the people who use this violence, use these non-democratic means, can be the only ones held responsible,” he said.

English Only Cheese Steak Shop

Joe Vento, owner of Geno’s Steaks in Philadelpha, PA had the courage to put up a sign thatsaid “This is AMERICA: WHEN ORDERING ‘PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH'”. The amazing thing is the Commision on Human Relations ruled that this is not descriminatory and does not violate Philly’s Fair Practice Ordinance.

Critics of the sign, and most likely the ones to complain to the CHR claim that it discourages non-English speaking people from going there. Well so what. If it hurst Vento’s business he will change to survive, if it does not hurt his business then more power to him. People have a choice of where to eat and if people do not like his place for any reason, they should go someplace else to eat. His staff should not have to waste time trying to figure out what someone wants if they cannot order it in English, and other patrons should not have to wait for the staff to figure out what these non-English speakers want.

This is the beauty of free enterprise.

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (AP) — A Philadelphia agency has ruled that English-only signs at a famous cheese steak shop are not discriminatory.

The Commission on Human Relations says in its Wednesday ruling that the signs at Geno’s Steaks do not violate the city’s Fair Practices Ordinance.

Joe Vento posted the signs at his shop in October 2005. They read “This is AMERICA: WHEN ORDERING ‘PLEASE SPEAK ENGLISH.’ ” Video Watch a 2006 report on the issue »

Critics allege the policy discourages customers of certain backgrounds from eating there. They say the signs discourage non-English speakers from going to the shop.

Vento says he has never refused service to anyone because they couldn’t speak English.

Afghan Lawmakers Proclaim “Death to the enemies of Islam”

The battle over Danish cartoons still brewing. While this in itself is not news, what is is a single little line that most liberals will overlook…

200 lawmakers shouted “Death to the enemies of Islam” outside the country’s parliament Tuesday

That is right, 200 Lawmakers Chanting “Death to the enemies of Islam”. Most condem those critical of Islam because they say Islam does not preach violence and that it is only a small minority of radicals that promote violence in the name of Islam… However this simple statement says shows it is the leaders that are prompting violence in the name of Islam.

JALALABAD, Afghanistan  —  Thousands of Afghan students chanted slogans and burned Danish and Dutch flags Sunday in the latest in a series of protests over perceived insults against Islam.

The protesters in the eastern city of Jalalabad denounced an upcoming Dutch film that reportedly criticizes Islam’s holy book, the Koran. They also condemned Danish newspapers’ recent republications of a cartoon that depicted the Prophet Muhammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban.

The several thousand demonstrators shouted slogans against Denmark and the Netherlands. They also chanted “Death to America” and “Long live Al Qaeda.”

“We don’t want Dutch and Danish forces in Afghanistan. If our government does not kick them out, we will continue our demonstrations until they leave Afghanistan,” said one protester, university student Qari Ibrahim. “If these forces do not leave, we are prepared to carry out suicide attacks against them.”

Denmark has 780 troops in Afghanistan as part of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force. The Netherlands has 1,650.

Similar protests have broken out in at least half a dozen other Afghan cities including the capital, Kabul, where 200 lawmakers shouted “Death to the enemies of Islam” outside the country’s parliament Tuesday.

Last month Denmark’s leading newspapers reprinted a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad after Danish police said they had uncovered a plot to kill the artist, whose drawing was one of 12 that triggered deadly riots across the Muslim world in 2006.

The reprinting triggered another wave of demonstrations in Islamic countries.

The protesters were also angry over right-wing Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders’ upcoming short film, which reportedly portrays the Koran as fascist.

Afghanistan is a Muslim nation where criticizing the Prophet Muhammad or the Koran are crimes that are punishable by death. Islam generally opposes any physical depiction of the prophet, even favorable, for fear it could lead to idolatry.

Steinem Attacks McCain Qualifications, Says Hillary’s Best Qualification Is That She Likes Conflict

So Gloria Steinem has laid down the qualifications for being President of the United States… Simply put, to be female. Being black is not good enough, having served your country is completely against it and having been a POW is definitely not a qualifier. Now I do not think being a POW in itself is a qualifier, nor do I think military service in itself is either… However the combination of these along with other aspects of McCain’s history, are what make these things relevant… Unlike Hillary who never served, has been a lawyer caught up in scandel and couldn’t even satisfy her man enough to keep him from straying…

I the world we face today, I think someone with an understanding of military conflict is necessary to lead our country so we do not end up placating ourselves and blindly allowing terrorist to fester within…

I also believe that considering the media created backlash against our military for “war crimes” that a person who has been a POW and was tortured while being a POW would be a great asset in determining which direction our country goes in terms of captured terrorists. His own personal experiences undoubtably outweight Clintons torture of her husband during an S&M session…

Steinems mocking of Joan McCain is utterly offensive and if that had been someone else making the joke about Hillary, there would be screaming from the liberal left about it being sexist…

What if Hillary had been the POW, they would have released her within hours just to shut her up….

AUSTIN, Texas—Feminist icon Gloria Steinem took to the stump on Hillary Clinton’s behalf here last night and quickly proved that she has lost none of her taste for provocation.

From the stage, the 73-year-old seemed to denigrate the importance of John McCain’s time as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. In an interview with the Observer afterward, she suggested that Barack Obama benefits—and Clinton suffers—because Americans view racism more seriously than sexism.

Steinem also told the crowd that one reason to back Clinton was because “she actually enjoys conflict.”

And she claimed that if Clinton’s experience as First Lady were taken seriously in relation to her White House bid, people might “finally admit that, say, being a secretary is the best way to learn your boss’s job and take it over.”

Steinem raised McCain’s Vietnam imprisonment as she sought to highlight an alleged gender-based media bias against Clinton.

“Suppose John McCain had been Joan McCain and Joan McCain had got captured, shot down and been a POW for eight years. [The media would ask], ‘What did you do wrong to get captured? What terrible things did you do while you were there as a captive for eight years?’” Steinem said, to laughter from the audience.

McCain was, in fact, a prisoner of war for around five-and-a-half years, during which time he was tortured repeatedly. Referring to his time in captivity, Steinem said with bewilderment, “I mean, hello? This is supposed to be a qualification to be president? I don’t think so.”

Steinem’s broader argument was that the media and the political world are too admiring of militarism in all its guises.

“I am so grateful that she [Clinton] hasn’t been trained to kill anybody. And she probably didn’t even play war games as a kid. It’s a great relief from Bush in his jump suit and from Kerry saluting.”

To the Observer, Steinem insisted that “from George Washington to Jack Kennedy and PT-109 we have behaved as if killing people is a qualification for ruling people.”

Other Clinton proxies, notably Black Entertainment Television founder Bob Johnson and a New Hampshire campaign chair, Billy Shaheen, have generated controversies with their criticisms of Obama. By contrast, Steinem told me the Illinois senator was “an intelligent, well-intentioned person.” She added: “I would like very much to see him be president for eight years after Hillary has been president for eight years.”

But she also opined that “a majority of Americans want redemption for racism, for our terrible destructive racist past and so see a vote for Obama as redemptive.” Then, using a term for the mass killing of women, she added, “I don’t think as many want redemption for the gynocide.”

“They acknowledge racism—not enough, but somewhat,” Steinem continued. “They would probably be less likely to acknowledge that the most likely way a pregnant woman is to die is murder from her male partner. There are six million female lives lost in the world every year simply because they are female.”

Steinem has been a Clinton supporter for several years—even though, as she reminded me, she protested against Bill Clinton’s welfare reforms outside the White House. Her support for the former First Lady has become more high-profile of late. She penned a January op-ed for the New York Times backing Clinton and asserting that “gender is probably the most restricting force in American life.” She was also one of the women’s rights activists who signed a February 15 letter published on the Huffington Post that insisted, “It’s time for feminists to say that Senator Obama has no monopoly on inspiration.”

Yesterday’s event, billed by the Clinton campaign as “One Million for Hillary with Gloria Steinem,” was one of several appearances scheduled for the veteran feminist across Texas as Tuesday’s primary looms. It was held in a downtown music venue and was attended by around 200 people, the vast majority of whom were women. Before Steinem spoke, two Clinton campaign ads focusing on female support were shown, to applause.

In her speech, Steinem argued that there was a major sexist component to the murmurs from some quarters suggesting Clinton should abandon her presidential quest.

There is, she said, “a great deal of pressure at play for her to act like her gender and give in.” Several shouts of “No!” came from the crowd. Steinem went on: “It’s a way of reinforcing the gender roles, right? Men are loved if they win and Hillary is loved if she loses…But maybe we shouldn’t be so afraid of an open convention that actually decides something. After all, it was an open convention in New York City that gave us Abraham Lincoln.”

Steinem’s speech offered, Letterman-style, ten reasons why she was supporting Hillary. Most were serious, though one of the more flippant was “We get Bill Clinton as Eleanor Roosevelt.”

Steinem, like any good politician, also made sure to praise her surroundings. True to her own spirit, though, she did so in less decorous terms than any candidate for office would dare.

Other than Austin, she said, “there is no community in the whole world that understands how to include everybody, how to be serious and have a good time at the same time, how to be fan-fucking-tastic” quite so well.

UPDATE: The Clinton campaign sends over the following statement from Howard Wolfson: “Senator Clinton has repeatedly praised Senator McCain’s courage and service to our country. These comments certainly do not represent her thinking in any way. Senator Clinton intends to have a respectful debate with Senator McCain on the issues.”

Islamification of Doritos

Muslims in Britian are in an uproar over the recent revelation that Doritos and other chip products may contain trace amounts of alcohol… I understand the needs to keep Halal, just as Jewish people keep Kosher. The key is if the product does not claim to be Halal, then don’t eat it if you want to keep Halal or Kosher. Those that keep strict Jewish diets only each food that has been declared Kosher through a series of requirements and certifications.

If the food was marketed as being Halal or Kosher and then it turned out that it did not meet those requirements, then by all means be upset, but do not be upset because you want to eat something and it turns out the process to make it includes contents not to your liking. This has nothing to do with being sensitive of Muslims, but rather considerate of everyone that is not Muslim.

In addition Walkers publishes a list of products that are alcohol fee, and these products were not on it, so it is the store’s responsibility to know what they are buying and to make the logical link that if the product is not on the alcohol free list, then it is reasonable to assume that alcohol is contained in the product.

Another case of Political Correctness run awry. Bend over westerners and take it right up the tailpipe…

Furious Muslims have heavily criticised Walkers crisps after it emerged that certain varieties of the manufacturer’s products contain trace elements of alcohol.

Some crisp types use minute amounts of alcohol as a chemical agent to extract certain flavours.

The report in Asian newspaper Eastern Eye, highlights concerns raised by shopkeeper Besharat Rehman, who owns a halal supermarket in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Mr Rehman told the paper: “A customer informed us that Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli and Doritos Chilli Heat Wave are not on Walkers’ alcohol-free list. Our suppliers were unaware of this.

“Even if it is a trace amount of alcohol, Walkers should make it clear on the packaging so that the customer can make an informed choice.

“I feel frustrated and angry. I have let my customers down simply because such a big company like Walkers is not sensitive to Muslim needs.

“Many of them were my daughter’s favourite crisps. As soon as I found out about the alcohol in them, I called home to ask my wife to throw out all the packets.”

Shuja Shafi, who chairs the food standards committee of the Muslim Council of Britain, said that he intended to investigate. “Certainly we would find it very offensive to have eaten food with alcohol.”

Masood Khawaja, of the Halal Food Authority, said that this was not the first time the issue had been raised with Walkers.

“They should have looked into the matter and solved it instead of hiding behind labelling regulations. It does not matter what percentage of alcohol is involved.

“Besides Muslims, there are a lot of teetotal people who would not like to consume alcohol in any form. As far as possible we try and lobby for halal symbols on popular products like Kellogg’s cereals.

“But we have always told Muslims to check the contents list even if a product is marked suitable for vegetarians. But to not mention it on the packaging is unfair.”

However, a spokesperson for Walkers said that trace amounts of alcohol in crisps or bread are believed to be permissible for Muslims.

“We do not add alcohol to our products. However, ethyl alcohol may be present in trace amounts in a very small number of our flavours.

“It is used as a carrying agent for flavourings, and is found in many common food and drink products.

“Foods like bread can also contain the same or higher trace amounts due to fermentation. “We are aware of the concerns from some Muslim consumers about the appropriateness of specific ingredients. We take the concerns of our consumers extremely seriously.

“In previous assessments by Muslim scholars, foods and drinks that contain trace amounts of ethyl alcohol have been confirmed as permissible for Muslim consumption because of both the fact that the ingredient does not bear its original qualities and does not change the taste, colour or smell of the product, and its very low level.”

Islamification of YouTube

The media has been blasted publishing cartoons of Mohammad, A teacher was arrested and almost faced death for her class naming a teddy bear Mohammad, Wikipedia has been lambasted for displaying art which depicts Mohammad and now the latest causualty of the Islamic war on Free Speech, YouTube…

Pakistan’s government has banned access to the video-sharing Web site YouTube because of anti-Islamic movies that users have posted on the site, an official said Sunday.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority told the country’s 70 Internet service providers Friday that the popular Web site would be blocked until further notice.

The authority did not specify what the offensive material was, but a PTA official said the ban concerned a movie trailer for an upcoming film by Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders, who has said he plans to release an anti-Koran movie portraying the religion as fascist and prone to inciting violence against women and homosexuals.

The PTA official, who asked not to be identified because he was not an official spokesman, said the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority also blocks Web sites that show controversial drawings of the Prophet Muhammad. The drawings were originally printed in European newspapers in 2006 and were reprinted by some papers last week.

The PTA urged Web users to write to YouTube and request the removal of the objectionable movies, saying authorities would stop blocking the site once that happened. /**/

Pakistan is not the only country to have blocked access to YouTube.

In January, a court in Turkey blocked the site because some video clips allegedly insulted the country’s founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. It is illegal to insult Ataturk in Turkey.

Last spring the Thai government banned the site for about four months because of clips seen as offensive to Thailand’s revered monarch, King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Moroccans last year were unable to access YouTube after users posted videos critical of Morocco’s treatment of the people of Western Sahara, a territory Morocco took control of in 1975.

Google Relists Articles From InnerCity Press – Who Is Really Behind The Censorship Though

Google has brought back news articles from Inner City Press after having “accidentally” removing them. Inner City is known for publishing news that is critical of the UN, so who was really behind it? I think any half way intelligent person can figure this out. With all of the problems the UN has created for itself, it really needs to just go away…

NEW YORK  —  Google News quietly reinstated Tuesday the articles of a news service that routinely exposes U.N. corruption, a day after FOXNews.com ran a story about the Internet giant’s decision to remove Inner City Press from its search engine.

Inner City Press returned to the Google News search late in the day, but much sooner than the “couple weeks” a Google representative had promised. The week of stories the news service ran since Google News dropped it on Feb. 13 were not restored.

The news outlet, run by journalist Matthew Lee, has been critical of the U.N. and internal corruption within the organization. Lee was informed that Google News would drop his organization in a Feb. 8 e-mail.

Click here to read more at Inner City Press.

Someone complained to Google early this month that Inner City Press was a one-man operation, violating the Google News ground rule that news organizations listed must have two or more employees, according to Gabriel Stricker, a Google spokesman.

Lee, who insists his organization has appropriate staff, believes someone within the U.N. pressured Google to drop him. The U.N. denies the charges.

Speaking at a press briefing Tuesday, Marie Okabe, Deputy Spokesperson for the Secretary-General said, “The Secretary-General has often spoken out in favor of press freedom and will continue to do so, but that insinuating that he, or his staff, is linked to the decision taken by Google News to de-list Inner City Press is blatantly false and misleading.”

Since 2005, Lee’s been focusing almost entirely on stories that deal with internal corruption inside the U.N., posting several stories online almost daily.

He’s been especially interested in the inner workings of what could be called the practical-applications arm of the international organization, the United Nations Development Programme.

Google said the “de-listing” was due to a misunderstanding and agreed to restore Inner City Press stories to the Google News service.

The reaction to the de-listing, however temporary, had been furious. The non-profit Government Accountability Project lambasted the company, calling Inner City Press “the most effective and important media organization for U.N. whistleblowers.”
