No Big Mac For You

Another case of America’s Racism and Bigotry, an isolated incident or a savy lawyer making his other case… No matter which it is, the damages being claimed are BullShit…

What I am particularly suspicious about is the fact that it is the same lawyer. It seems to me that he is fabricating this case to create evidence for his pending case…  To me this smells like a planned setup hoping the empoyees would ask her to leave because of the pending lawsuit the store is already facing…

Even if the allegations are true, this should be a discrimination suit only.

Look at the damages this woman is claiming… “she cries uncontrollably, can’t nurse her newborn son and couldn’t celebrate her wedding anniversary” all because some was rude to her…

Now no one on the staff said they did not serve her because she is a Muslim, she assumed that is why she was not server and subsequently asked to leave. Slippery slope for her…

A Breinigsville woman who says she was denied service at a McDonald’s in Whitehall Township because she is a Muslim filed a federal lawsuit Thursday, claiming her civil rights were violated.

Tanveer Walli alleges that a manager at the restaurant, which is in the Wal-Martoff MacArthur Road, behaved rudely and refused to serve her because of her Islamic headscarf, or hijab.

The Aug. 10, 2007, incident upset Walli so much that she cries uncontrollably, can’t nurse her newborn son and couldn’t celebrate her wedding anniversary, according to the complaint.

The suit, which also lists a Wal-Mart assistant manager as well as McDonald’s and Wal-Mart as defendants, is the second filed against Pany Enterprises, which operates the McDonald’s.

A similar federal suit, filed in May 2007, alleges that employees at the McDonald’s that used to be in the Lehigh Valley Mall and was also operated by Pany Enterprises harassed a Muslim family from Maryland.

Walli’s attorney, Jordan Yeager of Doylestown, said the similarities are too close to ignore.

”This case involves the same franchise owner from another case in which a gentleman and his family were harassed with the same rudeness, with employees telling them to go back to Iraq,” said Yeager, who also filed the 2007 suit.

Franchisee Joe Pany said in a written statement issued by a McDonald’s Corp. spokeswoman: ”I take this matter very seriously. I value all of my customers with no regard to race, gender or national origin. Because this matter is currently ongoing litigation, it would be inappropriate for me to comment further at this time.”

A Wal-Mart spokesman wasn’t available to comment.

According to Walli’s suit:

She was harassed by the unidentified McDonald’s manager, a woman, after moving a chair from the top of an unoccupied table so her mother could sit. Told by the manager that she couldn’t sit there, Walli apologized and moved to the counter to give her order, but the manager told her she wouldn’t be served.

Subjected to ”snickering” from the staff, Walli asked the employees if ”being a Muslim had anything to do with me ordering food?” A Wal-Mart assistant manager, Tommy Jones, intervened. But when Walli told him she wasn’t being served because she was a Muslim, Jones told her, ”There’s nothing anyone can do, so you can leave.”

As Walli left the store, another customer tugged on her hijab and said, ”This is why you didn’t get served.”

In the 2007 suit, Fahed Al-Araj and his wife, Pauline Andoniah, say they were treated rudely by staff at the former Lehigh Valley Mall McDonald’s. Al-Araj claims he and his family were told, ”Get the hell out of here. We don’t want people like you here.” Two mall security guards removed them from the restaurant, according to that suit, which is still pending.

New Yorker Blasted For Obama Terrorist Cover

The liberal media outlet, the New Yorker, published a July cover depicting the various rumors about Obama. The controversies depicted are being credited to Republican campaign tactics, what one need to remember is that most of these rumors came from the Hillary camp…

Now it is funny how the Obama camp is in an uproar over this, the New Yorker as well as many other publications are known for creating satirical covers to stir up the pot… This is no different, it is poking fun at the rumors that have been in the main stream media for the past 7 months or so…

That being said, it comes down to basic freedom of speech, something the liberals love to use when it works in their favor or they can sue someone over blocking it…

I personally fine the cover quite funny especially the Black Panther look for Michelle…

New Yorker mag’s ‘satire’ cover draws Team Obama’s ire

Barack Obama‘s campaign lashed out Sunday at the editors of The New Yorker magazine for a cartoon cover that depicts the Democratic candidate and his wife as fist-bumping terrorists.

The magazine’s editor described the cartoon, called “The Politics of Fear,” as satire. The Obama campaign called it “tasteless and offensive.”

The Illinois senator is depicted in traditional Muslim garb in the Barry Blitt illustration set in the Oval Office.

His wife, Michelle, is in fatigues, sporting an Angela Davis-style sky-high Afro, an AK-47 slung over her shoulder.

A portrait of terror kingpin Osama Bin Laden hangs above the fireplace, in which an American flag is set ablaze.

“The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Sen. Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create. But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said.

New Yorker editor David Remnick seemed shocked by the backlash.

“Our cover … combines a number of fantastical images about the Obamas and shows them for the obvious distortions they are,” he said in a statement.

“The burning flag, the nationalist-radical and Islamic outfits, the fist-bump, the portrait on the wall – all of them echo one attack or another. Satire is part of what we do, and it is meant to bring things out into the open, to hold up a mirror to the absurd. And that’s the spirit of this cover,” Remnick said.

The magazine does not explain the cover. Inside are lengthy stories that look at how Chicago politics shaped the candidate and at allegations that he flip-flops on major issues.

Obama brushed off the brouhaha. “I have no response to that,” he told reporters when asked about the cover, but his supporters are infuriated.

The McCaincampaign joined in piling on The New Yorker. “We completely agree with the Obama campaign that it’s tasteless and offensive,” said campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds.
