Dix Six Recruiting Terrorist In Jail

Well, the Dix Six, who recently tried to petition a judge that they should be moved into general polulation because they were not receiving fair access to the evidence in their case, seem to have other motives for wanting to be in the general population. As I pointed out in a previous post, location has nothing to do with access to evidence, that is their lawyers job to arrange for that. Also I said that they were in a secured area for their own safety. Well on top of that they are in a secure area for the safety of the general public. These scumbags are trying to recruit more terrorists while in jail, from the jails polulation. Not that this does not happen normally with Muslims in jail, but this is a group of terrorists who were in the processes of planning an attack.

Personally I think each one should be shipped to a maximum security detention center and each one should be completely isolated. These guys are a threat to our national security.

HADDONFIELD, New Jersey —  Federal authorities say one of the men accused of planning an attack on soldiers at the Fort Dix army base gave another inmate in a federal detention center an Al Qaeda recruitment video and another wrote a note referring to the fight “we weren’t able to finish.”

The U.S. Attorney’s Office made the allegations in a brief filed in U.S. District Court late Tuesday to oppose the suspects’ request to be granted bail.

A lawyer for one of the men said the government is misrepresenting an incident in the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia.

The suspects contend that the detention center staff has not allowed them adequate access to evidence in the case against them as they prepare for trial. That is why they have asked a judge to either allow them to be free on bail or come up with alternate arrangements to allow them to review materials for the trial, which is scheduled to begin March 24.

The five men — all foreign-born Muslims in their 20s — were arrested in May and charged with conspiring to kill uniformed military personnel. Authorities said they planned to sneak onto Fort Dix, a base in New Jersey used primarily to train reservists for duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

There was no attack, however.

A sixth man later pleaded guilty to providing weapons to some of the five charged in the alleged conspiracy.

In the legal filing, the government said Mohamad Ibrahim Shnewer gave another inmate a copy of an Al Qaeda-produced DVD last month. Guards found the disc in a book in the detention center’s law library.

Government lawyers said in the filing that “the fact the defendant Shnewer and, perhaps, his co-conspirators may be spreading jihadist recruitment videos to other inmates clearly raises grave security concerns for the warden, and, again, supports the reasonableness of continued administrative detention for these defendants.”

Shnewer’s lawyer, Rocco Cipparone, said Shnewer told him 10 days or so ago about the incident. But Cipparone said Shnewer did not give the other inmate the video. Rather, he said, Shnewer was upset that the man somehow got hold of evidence that only the defendants in the case were supposed to see.

The government also said that suspect Eljvir Duka and another inmate were passing notes.

In one note, the government said, Duka wrote, “Now you see why we were going to sacrifice all for the sake of Allah in jihad” and referred to the fight “we weren’t able to finish.”

The government said detention center staff confronted Duka about the notes. According to the filing, he acknowledged he was passing them but said they only dealt with “issues such as the quality of the food” behind bars.

Duka’s lawyer, Troy Archie, did not immediately return a voice mail or e-mail message Tuesday night.

The government also said the five men have had access to the evidence when they requested it.

The five suspects include three ethnic Albanians from the former Yugoslavia, a Jordanian and a Turk.

A hearing on the men’s bail motion is scheduled for Dec. 20.

  1. The Dix-Six have the Constitutional right to free speech and the right to practice their religious beliefs without government interference. Witnessing to potential converts isn’t a problem for Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Wiccan, or Scientologists in prison. Should we gag them or just hook up an electro-shock device to their nads when they mention Islam?

  3. Johnny as usual the liberals want us to sympathize with terrorists. Oh the poor terrorists. Bullshit….
First of all, when arrested and imprisoned your constitutional rights are limited. There is nothing in our constitution that says that you have free speech, freedom of religion while in prison. There are liberal interpretations by the courts that have allowed these rights provided they are not abused. While in prison you are the property of the government. While in prison your rights to vote and bear arms are suspened. Do you suggest we allow prisoners to bear arms?

As for their practicing of religion, spreading Al Qaeda rectruitment media is not practice of religion, it is a recruitment to become a terrorist. So why don’t you close your pie hole before you say something stupid again…

Now in closing, I want to point out that only one of the Dix Six is a US Citizen. There rest are here illegally. Now even if they were here legally, they still do not have Constitutional Rights as they are not US Citizens. This liberal myth of Constitutional Rights applying to non-US citizens is bullshit. So please go cry for your terrorist bretheren elsewhere.

How Did the “Fort Dix Six” Enter and Stay in the U.S.?
    By Michael Cutler

Six men have been arrested for terrorism-related charges emanating out of an alleged plot to enter a military base in New Jersey, Fort Dix, and kill as many of our soldiers as possible. I will provide my thoughts with the limited amount of information that is being made available (download and read the official complaint).

First of all, it is essential to realize that all men were born overseas and that one man was described as a naturalized citizen. I do not know how long he has been a naturalized citizen. He may have entered the United States as a young child with his family or he may have recently acquired United States citizenship. I would certainly be interested in knowing if the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services office at DHS dropped the ball, or if they had no way of knowing. Similarly, two of the men have been described as being resident aliens. I am similarly concerned as to how and when they were given resident alien status. Finally, we know that 3 men are described as being illegal aliens. The obvious question is how did they enter the United States?

It is also important to realize that all six men were described as being roofers. They were apparently working in the United States. One of them also had a job as a pizza delivery man, and he understood that this job would provide him with unfettered access to the military base and other venues where he could do surveillance, hiding in plain sight. This goes back to the issue I have been adamant about, when the President says that illegal aliens do the work Americans won’t do, so we need to allow aliens who want to work to do so, I have asked, what does a terrorist do days before an attack? The answer is, he goes to his job, in this case as roofers or a pizza delivery man!

A final thought: the President wants to make it far easier for refugees from Iraq to be admitted to the United States. While I am certainly sympathetic to the plight of refugees, I do not think we should be shortcutting the screening process by which we admit such people to make certain that we do not turn this humanitarian effort into one that will endanger our security! Once again, we have been given graphic evidence that we are at risk by not creating secure borders and a secure immigration system.

I will have more as the story evolves and we have more information.

Father of Fort Dix suspects arrested on immigration charges

The father of three men charged in the foiled Fort Dix terror plot was arrested this week on immigration violations and is in federal custody, two law enforcement sources said today.

Ferik Duka, the father of Eljvir, Dritan and Shain Duka, is being held pending a hearing, the said the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Duka’s wife, Zurata, was also issued a summons but was not taken into custody because the couple has a 16-year old son.

Federal investigators have found no evidence linking the parents to the alleged plot to kill soldiers at Fort Dix. But, the source said of the parents, “You can’t ignore the fact that they are here illegally.”

The Duka family entered the United States illegally through Mexico in October 1984, according to the sources. In 1989, Ferik Duka made an application for asylum with the Immigration and Naturalization Service and acknowledged the family’s illegal entry into the country.

Nobody in the family was ever given legal residency status, the sources said. It was unclear why the Duka’s had not been charged with immigration violations earlier.

Federal prosecutors have described the Duka brothers as Islamic radicals and illegal immigrants but disclosed no other details about their residency status or that of their family. Adam Puharic, a spokesman for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, declined to comment Thursday afternoon, citing an ongoing investigation.
